Carol Ann has created the 2023 Commemorative bead in the paper weight style. The ruby rich background with goldstone stringer makes a beautiful background for 10 handmade murrini. The bead measures 1” in diameter.
About the Artist: Canadian artist Carol Ann Savage currently lives in Toronto, Ontario where she is active in the community as a professional musician and a soft glass artisan. She has taught the flute for many years at Upper Canada College and will be teaching glass art across North America in the coming year. Carol Ann is also a Director at Large for the International Society of Glass Beadmakers. Her work can be found in the Corning Museum of Glass gift shop and other galleries around Ontario. Carol Ann was the first prize recipient of the 2022 "Your Bead for Venice" competition.
